My hard disk is partitioned with the c drive only 2gb and the d drive has
33gb. Can I change the windows update setting to copy the archive files to
the D drive as I do not have enough space on the C drive ?

The Windows Update files must remain on the same partition
as the Windows operating system. Your C: partition is way
too small....it should be at least 10GB.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
