"Not enough quota to process this command"

Hello,
I'm running Vista 64 bit Ultimate on my desktop and my notebook and I have
the following question:

I downloaded the SP1 Installer for Visual Studio, which is quite large (442
MB executable) and wanted to run it on my machines:

- Notebook: no problem

- Desktop: When I wanted to start the program (I chose "run as
administrator" using right mouse button already), the process is immediately
aborted with the message "not enough quota to process this command". I looked
this up and none of the quota options is activated. But then a strange thing
happened:
When I disable account administration (not recommended for security reasons)
it works without problems.

What could be the reason for this strange behaviour? (My systems are both
equipped with 2 GB of RAM and have over 100 GB free disk space left. I did
not change anything in the system configuration settings after the
installation.)

Best regards
Marco

This behavior has been reported by several users here in German Vista NGs.
In most cases it was a corrupted/aborted install (for instance with Nero or
some AntiVirus software) that leaves a lot of files in the temp folders.
Some people are able to cure it by deleting these temp files.

Maybe it helps.
