Hello jammie999,

As you don't say you have been doing anything different with your
machine recently, I assume you haven't.

It is good idea to check if any malware is present. You could download.
install, update and scan with a couple of free ones , like Spybot

'The home of Spybot-S&D!' (http://www.safer-networking.org)

and a-squared free 3.5

'a-squared Anti-Malware (a2) Download - Free Downloads of the Trial-
and Freeware-Versions' (http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/)

You may then like to try a system restore to a point before these
problems began

Hope that helps

Hi jammie,

If it's system restore that is telling you there's not enough space, it
could be you have it set up to operate on partitions other than the one
which has 20gb free.

Do you have an OEM machine with all sorts of odd things like a recovery
and eisa partition ?

To make sure

6995

6996

6997

Only check the box for the partition you want restore points for, then
click Apply, then OK.

Hope this helps

How large is the drive on which you have 20GB free? Depends on what
operation one is trying to complete... if the OS, or application, requires
21GB's to do it's stuff, then 20GB's will not suffice.
