Hi, wondering if someone can help me. A month or so ago I noticed that WMP
wouldn't play any .wmv files - didn't worry too much at the time. However, I
have just tried playing song files that I have in my library and it comes up
with an error c00d11b1. I went through all the troubleshooting. My sound
devices are all working properly. I have also found that my ASUSDVD player
will no longer play DVD's that it always has. And when I try to play the dvd
with media centre I'm told that the files needed to view the dvd are missing
or not working properly. I'm really stuck here - I have researched the net as
much as my limited knowledge allows.....!! But I just can't work out what
the problem is 'all of a sudden', everything used to work. As far as I know
I haven't downloaded anything that should effect this. To be honest I don't
even know where to start.
If anyone can help me or give me any advice it would be much appreciated I
am using Windows Vista 32bit (all up to date), WMP v.11.0.6002.18111

Thanks
Vicki

Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and
select Run as Administrator. In Command Prompt, type the following:

sfc /scannow

and press Enter. Let it run until it completes, reboot, and check if the
problems are fixed.

Regards
