I have uninstalled and reinstalled thinking it would solve the problems, but
live messenger will not load up after its initial install and run. Any ideas
would be helpful. All previous versions work fine.

Hello Mikestrides. I considered the same uninstall/install but, by accident
run into what apparently solved it for myself. A sign-in named MSN test
feature for sign-in at MSN worked better than even the MSN Connection
Center. To operate Messenger totally separate from any other connections
works best for me. I have not been able to get it to sign itself in
otherwise and especially during IE presence. It will respond with MSN signed
in first as long as it is the only thing doing anything at the time you work
with it. This may come to pass I believe. Microsoft Windows is bound to be
improving Messenger as fast as it can. I have a whole lot of faith in
Microsoft, Windows and MSN. Face it, the potential is there beyond other
mighty fine Messenger(s).

Mikestrides. I went through that for a short while. Luckily I had an MSN
test separate connectivity feature and for sign-in. As soon as it connects,
I click on Windows Live (WL) Messenger sign-in and away we go! I keep
Messenger beside most all I at times, wait for load-up. Messenger works
independently this way with search engines such as desktop search, IE, Mail
programs etc., not bothering my bud (WL Messenger). Happy Computing and
hang-in-there, WL Messenger is going to sky rocket into meeting our posts and
requests beyond expectations I believe.
I have experienced way more improvements on WL Messenger (as new as it is)
than I can keep up with using it all the time and liking it THE most. We may
need to cut WL Messenger development some slack and observe the mass
improvements. Thank you for the post and I hope you plus, any others I have
replied to will reply back.
