Note getting updates

This computer isn't getting any windows updates, I have windowsxp also sp2
installed. the security center is setup to automatically d/l and install
then prompt me that they were installed. I haven't seen any in over a month.
when ever I go to the Microsoft update page and search for critical updates
I'm prompt "no updates available at the time"
