notification failed

Why do I get a "Notification failed...try again later" message when I select
"Notify me of replies"? I'm logged in.

Not a Windows Update problem. (Something's /still/ screwy on MS's end.)

Yes, I knew it wasn't an Win Update issue but it is an annoyance when trying
to use this site.

I've complained about it at Internet Explorer Discussion Board. So far, no
fix. I do not like using the newsreaders
(*W* *G* PA) .
