Hello All
Well what a mess for the November updates. Never had to do anything to get
an update to work but this month was a nightmare.
Internet Explorer 7 stoped a few apps working but i guess that is my fault i
should have checked for dependent applications like VS .net 2003. Needed CD
to fix these errors.
But what about office. For some reason my LIS files where moved to a non
exisent drive raising the error 0x52F. This was fixed by using LIS tool from
microsoft to move LIS files to new location.

Check the language version though.
MSXML installation creates two folders for log files and my initial thought
was VIRUS.
But one that I am unable to solve is that a new directory was created.
C:\FILES\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\Primary Interop Assemblies\. This folder
has five dll files. Files are adodb.dll; Microsoft.mshtml.dll;
Microsoft.stdformat.dll; msdatasrc.dll; stdole.dll. WHAT IS THIS FOLDER?
It was created after the following updates:
Internet Explorer 7 install;
update KB920342;
Are these files needed, this must have been the update because I have done
absolutely nothing to the machine, no new installs or program removals.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards,
