Hello,

We have two domain controllers (Windows 2003 R2 std) with DNS installed
on both serveurs (192.168.2.22 and 192.168.2.26).

If, from any machines on the internal network I try the following command:
nslookup www.google.com 192.168.2.22
the command returns DNS request timed out

But If I try the same command against the second DNS server (nslookup
www.google.com 192.168.2.26), the result is returning a correct answer.

The ping www.google.com command on every machine is working fine.

I checked the configuration of DNS services and tcp of the network card
which is the same on both server. I don't have any firewall installed on
the servers.

Do you have any ideas on how to solve this problem ?

Thansk for your help,

Regards,

Fred

I finally found the solution to my problem : the problem was coming from
the configuration of our router which had the primary dns server for the
wan port set to the IP of the first dns server.
