I'm in the process of a NT4 migration that will go to 2003 first, what i
want to know is how to migrate all the logon scripts to 2003:
when i start the migration i generate another NT4 bdc, then pdc, then in
pklacve upgrade, but nt4 didn't have any kind of replication for netlogon
between comain controllers, right?.

so what should i do?, backup the contents and then copy them to the netlogon
folder of the new domain controller?

Hello Guillermo,

If i remmeber correct you have to replicate the scripts between the PDC and
BDC netlogon manual, which basically should be done in the past allways after
changes, so in case the PDC fails the BDC was still able to fullfill the
complete work.

For the new domain you can use of course the copied scripts from the NT4
machine. But you should test them to see if they still work on the Windows
servre 2003 domain.

Also keep in mind that at least SP6a is required to inplace upgrade a NT4
server to Windows server 2003 and that you have all drivers BEFORE starting.

Best regards

In addition to Meinolf's reply -

Yes, there is replication of the netlogon share in NT ... and your
login scripts willl just need to be updated with the correct server
names, etc., once you're done.
