ntdsutil snapshots

When i create a snapshot, i cant see it in c:\ until and unless i mount the
snapshot. Where is the snapshot located before mounting?

**I dont find this under C: drive, where is this stored?

It is stored in a the "System Volume Information" folder -- a hidden and
protected folder on the system root drive.

Can the snapshots be seen under SystemVolumeInformation folder?

No -- they're packaged in a VSS compatible file if I remember correctly.
That file's a VSS compatible file if I remember correctly -- you can't
just crack it open and look at it. You'll need to mount that snapshot first.
