number zero will not show in text boxes messenger 8.0???? help!

I don't know what the deal is but for some reason the number zero will not
show up while typing text in messenger??? if I hit the zero it's just blank?
all other characters work fine
this has occured ever since 7.5 I now have 8.0
any help greatly appreciated
