These posts are in 2008 - There are 10s of thousands of people with the
nvlddmkm.sys driver error in Windows Vista. This is reminant of the nVidia
card (various models) and the same is happening with ATI Cards.
NOBODY (MS, nVidia, ATI) is offering ANY helpful patches or resolutions.
The error message of nvlddmkm Driver stopped responding and has recovered
keeps showing up.
I even found one site attempting a class-action suit against nVidia - but i
don't think it is the Video Card Company. I think that a Vista update is
incompatible with some Video Drivers and is causing this crash.
One would figure that by now this problem would be well-known and on its way
to being resolved.
I have been having this problem for over 3 weeks and after trying everything
in my little bag of tricks, I am going to give up on Windows Vista until a
responsible party at Microsoft can elaborate on the issue. The laptop pc is
just not functional with this error.
