nvidia graphics driver

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRgh.
On my Dell 4550 w/ windows xp, I have had several system errors attributed
to my nvidia graphics driver (according to windows). I have gone to the
nvidia site and downloaded to most recent drivers, following their
installation advice, but the issue continues. Help? Ideas?
