NVidia instead of ATI Mobility for IBM Thinkpad?

Hi,

I have a IBM Thinkpad A30 running with Vista Home Basic very well except of
the 3d and directx graphics because ATI is not compatible with Vista

which graphics card can I use instead of ATI Mobility Radeon?

On the contrary...ATi has released Catalyst 7.1 for Vista, which I am using
successfully on my notebook with Mobility Radeon.

The Nvidia guys are having a hard time trying to get things sorted...

my mobility radeon card is an old one: chipset LY (it´s quite older than
9600 series) and not compatible with vista
the directx and 3d option are disabled by catalyst 7.1 so that the normal
display-functions can work
