Oct. 13th Updates

Unfortunately the five auto updates I received 10/13 installed successfully.
Now every one of my Word (2003) documents has been reformated to include
paragraph symbols, arrows and dots between words that make the documents
unreadable to these old eyes. The responses I'm getting to online line
assistance are either "Sorry, the page you requested is not available" or
"Service Temporarily Unavailable."

How do I get rid of the unwanted formating symbols?

In Microsoft Word... from the top menu...
Tools --> Options --> View tab --> Uncheck "Field Codes" near the top right.
OK.

*sigh* I hate hitting SEND too soon.. It happens..

Also - same place:
Tools --> Options --> View tab --> Uncheck all 6 boxes under "Formatting
Marks"...
