Much of what you say does make a lot of sense, but will also never happen. Integrated Office? Integrated MS Money? I don't mean to be rude, but for the love of [insert deity name here], do you want Microsoft to commit economical suicide? Do you recall the fuss that Google kicked up when Microsoft integrated the "Windows Desktop Search" utility as a part of Vista? Or even further back, in the days of Windows 95/98, when Microsoft acted "anti-competitively" against Netscape by including Internet Explorer as part of the OS? You are querying the need for so many different versions of Vista, and their so-called "shortcomings" (such as the "lack" of business tools in Vista Business). You don't live in Europe, do you? It's even worse there. Have you never heard of any of the Vista N versions? For some stupid reason, the EU decided that Microsoft is not allowed to bundle Windows Media Player with ANY version of Windows. Media Player! What's the EU's case anyway? A vast majority of the media players out there are all free anyway! And you want Microsoft to include application suites such as Office? No offence, but I'd like to know what you've been smoking, and can I also get some? I see your point, what the (blank) is EU problem!!!!
Linux has office type tools and so does MAC hmm maybe if Microsoft took out note pad and wordpad and inserted Word 2007 instead hehe call it an updated version of wordpad. And for IE7 and the whole Netscape thing...Netscape sucked and where would we be if we all used Netscape today ....lost in IE7 IE will not stop and is a basic part of Windows just like Media Player, I will say Computer Browser service should run as a Local Service not Local System service.
