Office 2000 PowerPoint file will not open in Office 2003 on XP

Upgrading to new laptop some but not all old PowerPoint files will not open
on new latop. Error is "PowerPoint can't read" then the path to the file.

The file does open on other XP / Office 2003 machines when forwarded from
the new laptop.

The file was created with PowerPoint 2000 SP-3 (9.0.6620)

It will not open on the new laptop with PowerPoint 2003 (11.5529.5606)

On the new laptop, run the Office 2003 installer again, selecting a Custom
configuration, and verify that you have selected, and it installs, all
PowerPoint converters/filters.

Also, try opening the problematic files from within PowerPoint, using menu
File/Open, rather than double-clicking on the files in Windows Explorer.
