when I put the disk in to install it ask for the key code. I put the correct
key code in but it declares it as a wrong code. I put it in a xp machine to
check and the code is excepted as correct.
any thoughts.

Just one - try OpenOffice.org - it should get you going and productive
until you can sort it out. Won't cost a dime.

I think you should use openoffice.org as well over office 2000, if you can't
get the damn software to work on vista.

its either that or you upgrade to office 2007 or you virtualize an older
operating system using Microsoft Virtual PC and install Office 2000 on the
Virtual PC.

I installed Office 2000 with no problem when I put Vista on this
machine. You should try it again.
