Office 2003

Vista home premium, office 2003

I seem to have run into a problem with updates for Office failing. I have
tried solving the problem by uninstalling office, did this three time, it
fails on a different update each time.

Currently the update that fails 'Update for Outlook 2003 (KB943649)'

SP3 is installed.

How do I get this to work as designed. I have another laptop that has no
problems with updates.

What error codes, if any, are associated with these failures?

Have you tried inserting the Office 2003 CD into the appropriate drive
before attempting to install these updates?

IN RE KB943649: If you don't access an MSN/Hotmail account in OL or if you
access the account(s) via POP3, you don't need this update. If such is the
case, "hide" it.

If such is the case, you can install Outlook Connector manually:

NB: KB943649 incorrectly refers to Windows Live Hotmail as "Windows Live
Mail".

The error message I recieve is 80070652

Yes i have tried putting the CD in the drive.

Looks liek I do not need this update, how do I prevent it from popping each
time I boot?

Personally, I either run a Repair or reinstall Office 2003.

I did run 'repair' several times and uninstalled office 2003 three times.

I finally go it to work by going to the office update sit and manually
installing it.
