I have loaded Office 2003 on Windows XP to my new laptop with Windows Vista.
I get a message that vista is not configured for office 2003. Is there a
way to make it work?

Office 2003 should work with Vista. There are separate newsgroups set up for
MS Office, I suggest you post your question in this one:

microsoft.public.office.setup
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...c.office.setup

Since the innovation of Vista, I have run all the Office 2003 functions
perfectly. I have not noticed any incompatibilities

Until you can resolve the problem, you might want to install
OpenOffice.org - it's a free download and quite compatible.
