SP3 for Office 2003 seams to have stopped spell check from working as well as
capitulation of first letter in sentence.

Anyone noticed this?

If yes, has anyone fixed it?

I tried that with no luck.

Also, I am using outlook to edit E-Mail messages and not Word (as found in
"Tools", "options", "Mail format".

Word as the text editor works fine, however, I do not want to use Word as
text editor for outlook messages.

I've also had the same problem. Also SP3.

I discovered that if you have admin priviledges it works fine. Normal
users encounter this error.

For reasons I really don't want to get into (unrelated), I ended up
resetting all my security settings back to default by following this
article.

'How to reset security settings back to the defaults'

Amazingly enough, this ALSO fixed this problem. I suspect there must be
a permission error somewhere in the registry
