I need to uninstalled the trial version of Office 2007 (because I have Office
2003), but when I go to programs to uninstall it is not shown as being
installed. As a matter of fact, several programs are not showing. In
researching this I found that it is a common bug in Vista and found a fix
through Microsoft, but too complicated for me to perform. The problem it has
caused is an automatic update, updated 2007 and now my 2003 is not working
properly. Any other suggestions?

System Restore would have a point for when that update when in.

This is the method that I was describing that I downloaded, but a little
complicated looking for me. Just not sure of fooling around in the registry
is all. AND, it states that it does not remove it completely this way. Any
other suggestions? Restore doesn't help

Adding to the previous excellent answers

This is not a bug in Vista but rather it is a common problem when installing a Trial of Office 2007 OVER a previous version of Office that was not a Trial instead of installing it to a different directory.

You need to uninstall all reference to all Office installs including the previous version(s) and then re-install Office 2003.

For further help on this issue I suggest that you repost this to one of the Office newsgroups as per below

Mocrosoft direction is a little complicated and System Restore not an option.
Thank you for your response, but is there another way?

You should try to find some local help with the procedure. Saving the data
and restoring to factory defaults is about your only other choice.
