Office 2007 Programs Restart After Closing After Vista SP1 Install

I installed Vista SP1 on two laptops (work and home). Both laptops have MS
Office 2007. After I installed SP1, every time I close any Office program it
tells me "Microsoft Office XXX has stopped working. A problem caused the
program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify
you is a solution is available." You then have to click the "Close program"
button." Then it restarts the program and I have to close it again manually.

Thoughts?

Since this isn't a Windows Update issue, I'd recommend taking this up in an
Office-specific newsgroup or with Office Support, Rick, or see...

How to uninstall Windows Vista SP1 as a troubleshooting step:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948537

Unlimited installation and compatibility support for Vista SP1 is available
at no charge through 18 Mar-09

But I and my wife are having exactly this problem after the Vista SP1 patch
and we have not changed anything on Word. Which implies to me that the issue
is one connected with the Vista Patch.
