Office plugins for outlook send not working after install sec upda

After installing the security patches in either January or February, the
plugins in the office suite of products (word, excel) for OUTLOOK send no
longer work. I installed the updates recommended in one of these two
months, and then was no longer able to use the FILE SEND TO MAIL RECIPIENT
option in the office products. Although it launches the Outlook window, when
you click the SEND button, nothing happens.....
