Office programs not working correctly anymore, possible corrupted

Alright heres the problem...last night all of my office 2007 programs were
working fine, when i turned off my computer last night it installed several
updates before it shut off. This afternoon when i turned on my computer, i
was able to open Outlook for example, but i can't compose any messages,
reply, send, or forward anything. I can still recieve msgs but the buttons
to do those tasks above are gray and not clickable. Any help on what i
should do?? This is the problem with all the office programs now, i cant
edit or do anything except open up the application. I ran a diagnostics test
and it told me that one of the files had been corrupted within my office
installation. Should i just take office off and reinstall it? Or maybe it
was one of the update that messed it up.
Please help!
