Start the registry editor and drill down to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run\OptionalComponents

IMAIL
MAPI
MSFS

Select permissions on each of these keys and add "everyone" and give full
control. Reboot and try the install again. If successful go back and remove
the "everyone" permissions.

This worked for me.

Good Luck

D

I have not tried this yet. I am curious as to how you came across this
solution? To me it seems to be coming from "left field"! I hate not knowing
how things work! I would imagine that there are others who would like to
know how you came up with this solution.

After downloading the full install and trying to install, I got an error
that told me that those registry keys could not be accessed!!!
