office updates ok but windows is not

my date and time are correct. i have tryed the above to fix the problem but
am back to square 1. office updates work fine. any ideas reg`s mark

This was a problem with one user when everything else failed.

1. In Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs
2. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
3. Select the Update Root Certificates check box.
4. Click Next, and then click Finish.
