Office XP Service Pack 3 problem

When I go to automatic updates, it updates Office XP Service Pack 3 and
during the update a screen pops up and says "The feature you are trying to
use is on a CD Rom or other removable disc that is not available". "Insert
Office XP Pro with Frontpage disc and click OK. I do not have this disk or
cannot find the original disk. Therefore, it does not allow me to download
service pack 3. Is there anything I can do? I think there are some important
updates in SP3 but I cannot download them.

Thanks

Thanks PA Bear. Unfortunately it still asked for the CD Rom which I do not
have.

[Crossposted to Office Update newsgroup. To keep track of things, it helps
immensely if you include all of previous message(s) in your replies to the
newsgroup. Thank you.]

Please confirm: You downloaded the full-file version from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...2-5e3c1132f206
and saved it to your desktop to install Office XP, and you're still being
prompted for the CD when you attempt to install by doubleclicking on the
file 'Office2003SP3-KB923618-FullFile-ENU.exe'.

Hi PABear, I downloaded Office2003SP3-KB923618-FullFile-ENU to my desktop and
then opened it and hit "run". It still prompted me to insert Microsft XP Pro
with Frontpage disk. Even though I didnt have the disk I hit OK and then it
says "The path Microsoft Office XP Pro with Frontpage cannot be found.
Veruify that you have access to this location and try again, or try and find
the installation package"PROPLUS.MSI" in a folder which yuou can install the
product Microsoft Office SP Pro with Frontpage.

This may sound strange but give it a whirl: Insert *any* CD into the drive.

Hi PA Bear, That didnt work but was worth a shot. Am I going to have to
repurchase Office XP Pro? Its not letting me get around inserting the
original CD.

Office XP Error 1706 - ProPlus.Msi Fix (Line 171, Right)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Download Office_1706.reg to your desktop > Double-click on the REG file to
merge it with your Registry > Try installing using the FullFile version you

Followed the latest instructions..Unfortunately it is still not working. It
still prompts me to insert Microsoft Office XP Pro with Frontpage disk during
the download of Service Pack 3.

This may sound like a dumb question but, I have two programs Microsoft Office
Professional edition 2003 (512 MB) and Microsoft Office XP Professional with
Frontpage (222 MB) I dont use Frontpage and never will. Can I remove Office
XP pro with Frontpage from my computer and still be able to use the functions
of Office pro 2003 or do they need each other.
