Enjoy

If you already have it on, and try to update, says the update doesn'
apply to your system. Same file that was leaked a couple weeks ago

If you are running Home Premium 64bit or better, Windows Media player 6
bit version can be found at :
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
Just edit your shortcut path to that directory.
The default is the 32 bit version:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

Cheer

Pretty much:

If you want to use the 64bit version of WMP as the default player on Vista
64-bit, run "unregmp2.exe /SwapTo:64" from an ELEVATED (admin) cmd.exe
prompt and then set registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\App
Paths\wmplayer.exe, "Path" to be "%Programfiles%\Windows Media Player". To
undo that, reset the "Path" value and then run "unregmp2.exe /SwapTo:32"
from an elevated cmd.exe prompt.

Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.

I installed both updates. I must admit, file transfer speeds seem to have
picked up considerably. For instance, with the last update of iTunes and
QuickTime, I was unable to use any of my iTunes video purchases (iTunes kept
timing out, resulting in unplayable video). I guess Microsoft caught up
with Apple, because they play reasonably-well now.

Hope this stays this way for a while.

No Apple caught up with Vista. The Apple people only just released their
Vista version.
