Is there any DARN way to fix these "Search" errors that are so prevalent in
the 32b version of Vista Home Premium? I don't have this type of problem on
the 64b Vista system, thank God. But is there anything I can do?

The errors vary in the "View System Events" area. Sometimes they relate to
speed at which the "Search" function loads up, sometimes I get an error like
"The application cannot be initiated", but I can see that it has been
initiated and going through it's process. Also, if and when I do get through
it without any errors, I see it takes like 5-10 mins just to complete. FYI,
I do not have the search function set for the whole system drive . Just a
couple of directories. Everytime I have to reboot, I get at least 20 errors
total and at least half of those are related to "Search" function. PLEASE
help!!!! Thank you in advance.

Oh man thanks....I was always under the impression (by reading in the windows
help sections of my system) that the index function could NOT be disabled, so
I didn't even bother trying. Now it seems, by reading part of what I saw
through the link you provided, that you can disable it. I sure hope this
adjustment sticks as not only was leaving it the way it was causing all
kinds of errors, but it was making the system take a loooooong time to boot
up to the desktop. Thanks again.
