OK, Easy Transfer, Vista, info transferred, now what?

How are my "settings" in various programs on my new computer, get to what I
had from my old computer? And how do my email and web bookmarks get into my
new computer programs?

I see the settings files on the transferred info.. Just don't know how they
get into my new computer programs...
