Thanks for the advice...but I think I found the culprit. I have Office Suite
2000, and when I installed it, Outlook didn't install properly...and still
won't. So I uninstalled everything, and voila...no Windows
installer...installed Office suite again...that Windows installer thing came
back. *Then* uninstalled just Outlook, and no Windows installer thing... so
there must be some sort of conflict with Outlook. It's ok though, because I
use Windows Mail anyway.
