Ok Please help windows vista startup vary SLOW!

Ok recently my windows vista pc has been taking forever to startup and
did some research on this and found out how to see what was happening s
i lokked in a maintence log/ Event Viewer and this is what i found

Name : PreShellInit...." <---- this process/program ha
slowed down your computer syste

get-process cmdlet will show its ID and then kill it

I was also having major problems with startup and shutdown times. Then I
found this article
http://www.winvistaclub.com/t1.html (How To Make Vista Start, Run and
Shutdown Faster) and tried some of the suggestions, with major success.
