old mail

Windows Live Mail in Vista. Inbox shows emails received but only back to
October,where do i find earlier ones.Have removed some to folders.

Message that were stored in removed folders are when deleted are first moved to the Deleted Items folder, if the Deleted items
folder is emptied, the folders and messages are permanently deleted.

Did you delete the folders that contained the messages.

Have you checked the web server for the account(s) to determine if they are present in:
a. the inbox (if so that may indicate they were previously downloaded)
b. the deleted folder(they may only remain for a period of time[a few days] before the web server purges them

How far back should the messages go?
How long have you been using WLMail?
What type of account? pop3, http, IMAP
Where you using Windows Mail before WLMail?

These are messages i just left in the inbox,those i moved to folders are
there..

Have used WLMail since March 08,pop3 account,used outlook prior to that.can
live without old mail,just curious as to what happened.
