One application does not work in Vista OS

Hi all,
We have one application which does not work in Vista OS. I used Microsoft
Application Compatibility toolkit 5.0 to analyze. I got that issue is
'The application attempted to store information under the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE registry hive' and the cause is 'Application
cannot run under Standard user'. The user which belongs to administrators
group does have administrator rights, I turned off UAC and windows defender
and firewall.

Any idea how to make it work?

I would start by telling us what the application is.
