I find it annoying that in the Media Center GUI menu that once I click that I
want to watch Live TV (or whatever) that I must click it again to get it
going once the selection moves over into place. How about if it just starts
immediately instead of just moving the menu over?

Also, there should be an option to set the Media Center startup screen from
any menu the user chooses. For instance, mine always starts at the 'TV +
Movies recorded tc' selection, whereas, I would prefer it to start at the
'live tv' selection.

Thanks,
Ken

On your mouse clicks, you may be experincing the fact that
the media center GUI is primarily designed to be navigated
with a remote control, mouse control is supported as a
secondary option. However, in Vista MC mouse support
has been improved over previous versions, and I on my
setup when i click on live tv it will both move to that tile
and start live tv, so i am not sure what is going wrong
with your mouse clicks
You can pickup a remote and IR receiver for very little
money on ebay, then you can kick back in your chair.

On your media center startup there was talk of 'sticky'
menus at one time but i dont think that they have happened
as you would like.

You might want to create a shortcut to your media center
and alter the command line options to one of the following
and see if gives you what you want...

Windows Media Center: Command Line Parameters

These Command Line Switches launches Windows Media Center and cause it to
navigate directly to one of the built-in experiences:

%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /directmedia:discplayback - Begins playback
of the disc in the drive
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:VideoFullscreen.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Live TV
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:VideoGuide.xml
/PushStartPage:True - TV Guide
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:RecordedTV.BrowsePage.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Recorded TV
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:VideoToBeRecorded.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Scheduled Recordings
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:Radio.BrowsePage.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Radio
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:Radio.xml - FM Radio
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:MusicBrowsePage.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Music Library
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:VideosBrowsePage.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Video Library
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:PhotosBrowsePage.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Picture Library
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:Options.Home.xml
/PushStartPage:True - Settings Menu
