One more problem with Oulook Sync in WMDC

WMDC 6.1 (latest one from Microsoft web-site) in Windows Server 2008 doesn't
want to sync my Dell Axim X30 (WM2003SE one) with outlook 2007. I have created
a new partnership, device successfully connects and I can even browse files.
But it cannot sync Outlook.

Dell Axim isn't supported in WMDC? Is there other way to sync Outlook with
Pocket PC?

Thanks.

Hello,

WMDC supports PocketPC 2003 SE devices with no problem (see
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ce-center.mspx).

The most common cause I see on this is a corrupt PST file in Outlook. Try
the following:

1. Delete the current partnership on the device.
2. Repair just the outlook profile or outlook on the desktop.
3. Reboot the machine.
4. Open outlook with the profile you want to sync with.
5. Connect the device and set up a new partnership.

Hope this helps,

Under this sun and sky we are warmly hailing you Clinton Fitch, MVP-Mobile
Devices,

It didn't. -__-
I've setup new profile in newly installed Outlook and tried to make it sync
with my device. Same result.
Even "Change content sync settings" item in Mobile Device Settings shown
in gray.

Seems like I'm not the one who have problems with Axims.

Hmmmm......

Well let me see what I can dig up on this. It may be tomorrow before I get
back on it.

Technically it should work but we all know "technically" and "actual" are
different sometimes. :-)
