......and one more reply.

Please note that Vista ITSELF is a VERSION of Windows.I assume you want to
find out what edition of Vista are you running.
To do that,press the two keys `Windows key+Pause/Break` simultaneously.You
will see the `System properties` window appearing.There,under `View basic
information about your computer`,under the heading `Windows edition`,you can
determine what edition of Vista it is.
In case that was NOT your question and you wanted to ask that which version
of WINDOWS am I running, that can be done by going to Start>Run,typing in
`winver` without the quotes and clicking OK.A new window will appear giving
you the version number of Windows which you are running (beginning with 6
for Vista)

Hi, jsema.

MANY ways!

Perhaps the fastest: <Win>+<Break>

That is, hold down the Windows logo key (labeled "Start" on some keyboards)
while pressing the Pause/Break key (upper right on most keyboards). The
System Properties page should pop up in your face. ;<)

Another quick way: Click the Orb and type WinVer, then press Enter.

Start > Control Panel > System is the normal way. It will tell you the
version, and Service Packs, and 32 or 64 bit.
