When multiple udates are selected it will download one then stop after
downloading only 10 KB of the next one. the only way it will download is if i
press cancel and do the update one by one.

That is the safest way. I only download one at a time and only one each day
so if I have problems I know which one causes it. I have 7 updates that I
hide and will never load them to my computer.
