OneCare Beta for Vista -- opinions?

I haven't had many difficulties - my Core2Duo Vista
Business system runs fine and fast.

But OneCare is tempting, and the Beta for Vista seems to
be a comprehensive solution both to fix and prevent
problems.

If anyone's using it, comments?

Thanks

PS - it won't work for Ubuntu or Obongo or Obama, so
stay on topic, please

Windows OneCare works great with Windows Vista.
It includes several features not found in other similar
programs. You can try it FREE (fully functional) for 90 days!

OneCare always caused problems for me, especially when it came to updating
the product itself. While I have beta tested the product it isn't something
I would use myself on a production machine.

I used it briefly during Vista RC2, as it was one of the only AV programs
that worked with Vista before it was officially released. I was not
impressed, but it seems to have got better since then, according to reviews.

PCPro is the best UK mag, and this is their verdict:

One Care is not a very nice fit with the Vista interface - it duplicates and
confuses other parts of the Vista interface - eg backup, firewall etc.

One Care is designed to fit with the XP interface and it is a very good
program on XP (once you work out how the hell you bu it if you don't live in
the USA).

**** People - ignore this guy - he's just a MS Fanboy ****

Funny how everything from Microsoft is just super when it comes to Carey.
Look up at a post by your MVP compatriot, John Barnett who says just the
opposite. Maybe some MVPs have some integrity. Carey Frisch certainly
doesn't.

Cheers.

A BETA, and I'm expected to pay for it?

I'll wait until it's released... there are apparently
other options that are more highly rated.

The final version of One Care has been out for months. It's a good security
suite, worth the money.

One Care has previously rated very low in side-by-side protection tests. I
would recommend an Internet search for third-party test results.

It has been out of beta since November 2007 and released as version 2.0
