Onecare Renewal

Is there a way to stop the Onecare subscription renewal without
cancelling it? The reason is the subscription renewal is $59 while I
can buy it in the store now for $39. Should it not be as simple as
entering the key rather than being forced to cancel, uninstall,
re-install and then setting up the account again?

product key you purchase.

Carey,

I take it that you're from Microsoft. Why doesn't Microsoft give their
existing subscribers the current price for renewal? Why should existing
subscribers pay more for something they already have?

MS-MVPs do not work for Microsoft. See mvp.support.microsoft.com

Microsoft employees usually indicate so with [MSFT].

Thanks, that is how I thought it should work, it will just extend the
renewal date for another year.

Thanks but it is not for me, I swim without water wings. :-) This is
for an elderly lady who calls every time there is a change on her
system. Onecare precipitates the fewest emergency type calls - "Help
help my Onecare thingie is red!" If it is only orange I tell her to
take a cognac and call me in the morning.
