When it comes out at the end of the month, download the iso, burn it and
try it. Even in beta Hardy is much better at detecting & configuring
hardware than Gutsy.

But why limit yourself to just Ubuntu. There are some distros out right
now that do a very good job with detection hardware. For my computer
PCLOS Gnome and OpenSuse worked very well.

Go to http://distrowatch.com/ and try a bunch of LiveCD distros and see
which one works the best for you.

Only three weeks to go before it's Independence Day for Alias. Imagine
another release of the TOY OS they call Ubuntu. It is so screwed up, they
have to keep making major releases every 6 months. I guess they just can't
get it right.

Ubuntu is a FREE product that NOBODY wants. Go figure. Just think. Alias
is their Marketing Department.

And to think MS can't even develop a Service Pack in 6 months! Wow!

Couldn't figure it out, huh?

Exactly!

Think? That's not something you are very comfortable with, Billy.

Open Source, Open Marketing.

Think of Operation Systems in political terms. Linux is a grass roots
movement, and Windows is the Belt-way insider. And Apple is the
Moonies!

It's called leading edge INNOVATION Wintard. Of course, being a Windoze user
that has to wait 6 years between upgrades, it's no wonder you are unable to
understand this stuff.

People with brains and intelligence want Ubuntu. Clueless idiots like you
who think Vista is a real operating system, don't deserve to run a superior
OS like Ubuntu.

Cheers.

It anything but INNOVATION. Imagine, working on a POS product for 30+ years
and all they can come up with is a bunch of garbage? Ubuntu is just a toy
for geeks and pimply headed kids who can't even get a date. Oh yea, and
shut-ins like Alias who think they run 3 companies when in fact they are in
an institution.

Thanks! You've proved my point. Wintards have NO idea what innovation even
looks like.

Cheers.

Yes I can imagine that, and I think I'm starting to see its name.

Yep, its name is Vista!

Actually, Ubuntu is geared more to the average PC user. Most "geeks"
would more than likely use another distro like Slack or Gentoo.

What kind of "institution?" And institution of higher learning?

Alias is continuing to learn a new way of computing, while you gave up
in frustration after only a couple of days.

I'm sorry, but I respect Alias much more than you, as at least Alias has
the perseverance to improve his computing knowledge, while all you do is
put him down for what you cannot and/or are too unwilling do for yourself.
