open attach files

I'm sick of waiting almost 2 minuts for Vista to pen the attach files I
receive by email (hotmail, windows live mail, or yahoo)
If I know and trust the source of the wmails, why do I have to wait for a
verifivation?
Can I disable it? How
Can I chose which files do I want to verify or not?
I'm new with Vista nad it's getting me crazy with all this security
features. I had W98SE before, and I didn't have any security issues.

Turn off your Anti-virus(Non-Microsoft!!!) email scanning feature.

I did it , I turn off the antivirus (email scannig) and still taking more
that two minuts to open the file, the only thing is that now the window
saying that it is verifyng the file doesn't apperar .
So. if is not Vista, not the Anti virus, what is it?
