Thanks Mark but this doesn't quit fix the problem.
I already went to Panel/Default Programs/ "associat a filetype" and all my
..xl* extensions are used by excel. This does not change how a file is opened
when you are in another application. The default when in Explorer is for the
file to open in Explorer. In XP you are able to check/uncheck a box so the
file never opens in the same window. Do you know how to do this in Vista?
