"The survey of 218 IT decision-makers in the U.S. government found that
88% of those in intelligence agencies said that their operations can
benefit from open source. That may not be surprising, given that the
U.S. National Security agency has been supporting a secure Linux

You would be surprised at what the NSA support.
It doesn't mean Linux is better it means the NSA regard it as a *threat*
that needs cleaning up.
If the initiative I was working on a few years back gets going they won't
need to worry about the security of the OSes on the Internet 2 so they will
probably spend their cash elsewhere.
