Is it possible to start two or more messenger sessions at one time? I know
program such as MSN Polygamy can but you have to purchase the program. Is
there a manual way of doing it? I'm using 8.1.

You can use some kind of binary code editor to change one word in
msnmsgr.exe

Greetings Simon,

The easiest way is to use Messenger Plus Live to do this (www.msgpluslive.net). The exact
feature can be accessed after installing Plus! by opening the main Messenger window, clicking
the Plus! menu (or pressing Alt-U if the menu is hidden), then Preferences, choose the
Messenger tab and then select the "Allow me to connect to several accounts simultaneously"
option.

Be aware that there is an -optional- sponsor program included with Plus which prompts you
during the setup to either install or not. You do not need to install the sponsor program to
install Plus.

Hello Simon Kwek,
One of the preferred methods is by using one of Messenger Plus! Live's
features. You can obtain a copy from here: http://msgpluslive.net/download/

Once installed, open your contact list (make sure the menu bar is
showing or click the little arrow inside a box that is to the left of
the minimize button) and select the "Plus!" menu, then click on
"Preferences..." in the sub menu. Now that the Messenger Plus! Live
Preferences window is active, select the "Messenger" tab along the top
of the window and make sure the "Allow me to connect to several accounts
simultaneously" is checked to enable the polygamy feature.

To open up another instance of Windows Live Messenger just double click
the icon on the desktop or launch it from the start menu.

I downloaded the Messenger Plus! Live, and I still do not see a Plus! menu or
"Preferences" anywhere...

I tried to start a new post, but "it" doesn't seem to be letting me. My next
question is in regards to 8.0 and 8.1---I checked my "About MSN" status, and
it says I have version 9.50.0034.2000. Isn't that an even newer version than
8.0 and 8.1?
