On opening computer (Reocuring Problem)

Can anyone please tell me why I keep getting the same message every time I
open my computer?: the message is :- " pchnotify.exe encountered a problem
and needs to close we are sorry for any inconvenience".If I click on the x at
the top right corner
I can continue working; having to do this everytime is very erksome.
I would dearly love to get rid of this message for good, if anyone could
please talk me through this I would be very grateful.( I run Microsoft 2003
XP)
