Opening Download Files

Hi, my names John, and I currently have trouble opening files that I
recently downloaded. For example if I download applications or loaders
from websites, and I am finished downloading them, I click on them and
they just won't open. They will have the spinning circle spin for a few
seconds and it will stop.

Usually this would open the file, but for me it just won't do anything
ant the downloaded files won't open. I tried downloading these files
onto a friend's laptop and they opened fine. Please help, it'd be
greatly appreciated.

After I download I select to open the file location first then run/open the
file from there. I have not had any problems opening files doing it this
way.

Hey Bob, I just tried that option. It had a window pop up right after
ran it as an Administrator. Then it shows a window that says Allow o
Don't Allow, and I choose Allow, and after that it does the spinnin
circle and stops, and nothing happens

Which AV program are you running?

When following up to a previous post, you don't need to include everything.
Snip out what's not relevant. But do include what is relevant. Some people
may have missed the previous posts.

It has nothing to do with ettiquette. It's about about helping others
benefit from posted issues.

Top-posting is the norm for MS groups and it works fine. If you prefer to
bottom post or post in-line than do so.

I top-post because that seems to be the default when I use the Microsoft
software. When I click on the Reply, a window opens up with the text from
the post inserted and a blank few lines of separation at the top where I
assume one starts to type their reply message.
