Opening MSWord 2003 doc

My aunt was using MSWorks when I sent her documents containing text and
graphics using MS Office 2007. She couldn't see the graphics (which I
figured) but could view the text. They weren't lengthy so, I re-created them
using MS Office 2003....she could still view the contents minus graphics
(these were the important items in the doc). I’m using a brand new HP Laptop
with Vista, if that helps.

She uploaded the MSOffice 2003 software via the CD, deleted (accidentally)
MSWorks, and I tried sending the documents again only this time, errors
occurred during downloading of the attachments in the email saying it was
unable to open the documents. In others words, she cannot complete the
downloading of the documents for viewing now. Neither the text or graphics.
What could have happened? We're both using the same app now; MS Office 2003.

What can we do so she’s able to view documents containing graphics that I
send her. We have a very productive & prosperous business that relies on what
I design and send to her.

What's that got to do with it?

The e-mail programs are slightly different
and different defaults for the two systems are
setup.

Umm no - Outlook 2003 is Outlook 2003 is Outlook 2003 whether it's on W98,
W2K, XP or Vista....the only difference is in where the mail folder is
stored on the different OSs...

I was attempting to see if OE or maybe MS Mail was the more prevailent
program that
the aunt might be using instead of Outlook.
Not once did the person say the Aunt uses Outlook to recieve
the file.
That is also why I asked.
Are you here to help people or just attack those trying to help?

If you read the original post you will see that the OP installed Office 2003
on his Aunt's machine. As there was no mention of either OE or Windows Mail,
the inference would be that Outlook is used for email.....

If you don't know that you have to check the facts and not just assume,
you will have real fun fixing problems

anyways.
Why don't you help him and leave my thoughts alone.
Maybe you have the fix already and are wasting time with me
instead of helping him.

Thank you gentlemen. No Sqaubble please.

I sent the email, not via Outlook, because of the differences in programs
that we each use. I sent it via yahoo mail; the way we normally do because
its standard for her. I'm a little bit more computer literate than she is.

Via Yahoo only as an attachment. Normally she's able to download and view
them minus the graphics. since uploading MS Office 2003 programs (ie Word),
she's hasn't been able to view graphics or text.

I'm running Vista. she's running XP
